It’s Raining Again!
By Gayle Farmer

Dark clouds build, the sky turns black,
I think that I'll just hit the sack.
If I don't look, refuse to see
then maybe it will just not be.

I throw myself upon the bed,
what's that noise above my head?
I start to writhe in fear and pain,
oh no, dear God, no more rain!

What do I say to my poor horses?
How to explain these devilish forces,
that keep them cooped up, walking the stalls
wailing and crying, such pitiful calls.

Mighty kicks ring out as they display
anger at being jailed another day.
Let me out! Let me out! They whine, oh please!
I can't 'cause the pasture is up to your knees!

Be patient kids, easy, it can't last for long
Angel kicks twice and sings a sad song
'Mommy I really must get out,' she sighs
and some wild demon looks out of her eyes.

It's Raining Again!
Please Lord, have pity, make it stop raining.
