About Us

Gayle Farmer grew up in northern New Jersey and started riding at Chestnut Ridge Riding Club when she was five.

It was at Chestnut Ridge that she was offered the opportunity to ride a variety of horses. Gayle started out riding saddle seat, but fell in love with hunters after going to her first horse show.

She was a member of one of the first Pony Clubs in the US and attended the National Horse Show in Madison Square Garden each year, watching the best of the best compete for top prizes.

As an adult, Gayle continued her career training and showing hunters and jumpers. When she moved to Ohio, she joined the Miami Valley Hunt Club where she received her colors and served as Honorary Whipper-In. She has trained horse/rider combinations successfully for more than 30 years.

Gayle and her husband, Jeff, owned a thoroughbred breeding/training facility in Hemet, California from 1995 to 2005. They now live in Palm Springs, where Gayle spends her time writing stories about horses, kids and growing up in Southern California.

OMEGA PUBLICATIONS was founded in 2004 after the release of the SHOWTIME! series, the first of the exciting adventures that grew to be the Doubletree kids and their adventures showing their horses in the beautiful Del Mar CA area.
