A Letter From Gayle,

Thanks for visiting GayleFarmer.com

We've taken the site down for a much needed remodeling and plan to launch the new and improved version in the beginning of June of 2008.

Big changes are happening around here. The majority of you know me by my horse stories and adventures. After spending most of my life (so far) in riding, training, raising and writing about horses, that's understandable.

I have some good news for my horsey fans. I have a new story coming out soon.

I'm a contributing author in an anthology of horse stories called A Cup Of Comfort For The Horse Lover's Soul, published by WordSinger Publications. It's scheduled to be released in April 2008 so you can look for it in your book stores after that. I know you'll love my story, A Pet Theory, and all the others that WordSinger chose for the book. You'll want to have this wonderful collection of horse stories on your bookshelf to read over and over.

M
any of you who have read my earlier stories about Blair and Melanie and their riding buddies, you ask me when there will be another book in the series.

Well, I've got good news for you. I have five new full length novels ready to go ... the Doubletree kids will ride again!

For those of you who feel inclined to do so, feel free to e-mail your favorite book publisher and tell them the world needs to know about the Doubletree kids. Tell them what you enjoyed about the stories and why you want to read more. They'll listen to you! And if they do, we'll begin the new series exciting horse stories for you.

I'll keep you posted on any details. If I get an offer to publish them, my fans will be the first to know!

AND, if any of you decide to campaign for me, send me a copy of your email, and when we get the new books published, I'll send you a free, autographed copy of the first book.

If you've read any of my work, you know that I love Horses, Teens, Show Jumping and Writing about the Southern California Show Circuit. I hope we get the new series going soon so you can enjoy them too.

While the site is being updated, I've left you a few of my short horse stories to read, and one about Woody the Siamese Cat. It never hurts to have a little laugh. The links to the stories are at the bottom of the page.

I have some more big news. I've just finished a new mystery novel that will be released in a few months by Resplendence Publishing. I can't give you the title yet because were still deciding on which one we'll use - but it's down to three choices now. I'll get back with you the second I know.

This is a real change for me. Instead of the fun, light-hearted adventures of Melanie, Blair, Becky, and Shievon riding and showing their horses, we have murder ... murder most foul.

Enter the dark and intriguing side of Southern California. Based in Brentwood, this is the story of Terry Wagner and her identical twin sister, Ella Russell. Terry's husband, Bob Wagner, is a top LA lawyer who defends the most powerful and  well-connected criminals in the country. As a top defense lawyer Bob has it all: fame, fortune, a yacht and a red Jaguar convertible. Whatever he wants, he gets.

But then Bob's life begins to unravel. Like peeling back an onion, the truth comes out layer by layer and the deeper we go, the worse it smells.

The guys doing the peeling are Ella's boyfriend, PI Jim Sessions, and Los Angeles Police Detective Lenny Browning.

Jim owns several exclusive pawn shops around the city and has lots of interesting connections that provide background to the ever-growing mystery. But his biggest, most lethal weapons come in the form of Doberman guard dogs, Tony and Amy.

Tony and Amy are two of the best trained Dobermans you will ever meet. They work at Jim's pawn shops keeping an eye on the customers. No matter who comes into the store, no one argues with Tony, at least not for long. They have quite a collection of tricks, which you see as the story unfolds.

You'll have to read the book to find out more. I'll keep the site updated as we get closer to publication, which is targeted for June 2008.

Thanks again for visiting. We'll get the rest of our site updated in a few weeks so remember to bookmark us and check back.
